It is expected that a huge number of spectators and delegates from different countries to be present at the Olympic venue and therefore to avoid chaos and inconvenience Tokyo prepares 24000 reserved parking spaces for Olympic 2020.
According to the joint council formed by Tokyo and central government figures and parking lot operators, Olympics fans will be able to reserve their parking space two weeks before the onset of the games through online mode.

The Online parking facility is available across 33 facilities that include New National Stadium and the Olympics Village in the capital city Tokyo.
Those individuals interested to rent out their parking space will have to cooperate with the scheme. Also, those who want to opt for the parking space for business purposes near the venue will be required to reserve the spot.
To avoid traffic congestion, officials will encourage spectators to take public transport instead of driving cars to the Olympic venue.
Also, officials are planning to collaborate with railways to offer discounts as an incentive to the spectators. The area between two major expressways around the capital will be designated as park and rides.
