The Tokyo Olympics were scheduled for 2020 but were postponed by a year due to the Coronavirus. Now in 2021, the Olympics are scheduled from 23rd July to 8th August 2021.
Recently, the G7 leaders had also extended their support for the Olympics. Various other leaders from all over the world have also supported the Olympics to go as per schedule.
The sporting calendar which was suspended last year is being carried out quite smoothly across the world. Even though tournaments are carried out in empty stadiums, the tournaments and sports have resumed all over the world.
The situation from last year has not changed much but the people have learned to live a life along with COVID 19 virus. Also, the vaccination rollout is a big positive for the games. Now, will the athletes be vaccinated or not before the games remain the question. But as of now, the Olympic games seem likely to go on as per schedule.
