There’s good news for the Olympic fans eagerly waiting to attend the much-awaited Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games, as the tickets for the event will be available for sale from Mid-May.
Recently, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games organizing committee revealed that the sales of the tickets for the other national residents will open from May. As of now, only people from Japan are eligible to buy the tickets from the official tickets website.

The only sources available for the overseas resident to purchase the tickets are from their countries’ authorized tickets re-sellers and also its official ticketing websites.
The exact date of the Tokyo 2020 ticket lottery for foreign citizens is not yet confirmed by the organizing committee.
The Tokyo 2020 Organizing committee has sold a total of 4.48 million tickets so far to the Japanese residents, in two phases of the domestic Olympic ticket lotteries. Now 9 million tickets are still available for sale.
The third phase of the online lottery ticket will be available from 20th February for the Olympics and 13th March for the Paralympics event, where Japanese residents can apply through postcards.
