The much-awaited event of the Tokyo Olympics is scheduled to begin after few months, where organizers on Monday unveiled the official art posters of the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics games. The posters include designs by Painters, Manga artists, calligraphers, and photographers from Japan and overseas countries.
There will be a total of 20 posters displayed around the capital city, Tokyo to promote the Olympic Games. The exhibition of the Original Poster artwork will be hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo from Jan 7 to Feb 16.

Naoki Urasawa, the award-winning manga artist behind mystery series, “MONSTER”, and Sci-Fi adventure movie “20th Century Boys” has created a poster in the style of a Japanese comic book. Shoko Kanazawa, a Calligrapher and disability rights advocate have designed the Art posters featuring Chinese character for “soar”.
Also, Japanese photographer Takashi Homma, contemporary artist Tomoko Konoike and Turner Prize-winning British painter Chris Ofili have also contributed to designing of the Artwork.

During the unveiling event, the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games organizing committee said “The Olympic poster visually trace the history and identity of each edition of the Olympic Games by witnessing the artistic, social and political context of their age. Today they convey the Olympic values and ideals, and also maintain a dialogue with the international artistic community and creative talents of the host country”.
